11 Tips for Glowing Skin
When it comes to my skincare routine, I take it very seriously. Environmental factors and a regular makeup routine has at times left my skin dull and dehydrated. That's why I make it my business to take care of my skin day and night, to reverse and decrease any damage done by my makeup, the sun, and more. I've tried plenty of serums, supplements, and skincare routines over the years, and I've rounded up my best tips for smooth, glow, hydrated skin.
1. Sea Moss
Sea moss has some pretty amazing benefits, some of which I listed here. But the most obvious benefit was not only how clear my skin became after taken it, but the subtle glow it leaves on my face.
2. Bone Broth
Packed with protein and collagen, this sipping broth can help reduce wrinkles and soften skin among other benefits.
3. Hibiscus Tea
This tea helps boosts your body's collagen production while also being packed with antioxidants that can help reduce sun damage, reverse wrinkles and more.
4. Lots of Hydration
Everyone preaches drinking plenty of water, but sometimes it just isn't enough. Hydration from plenty of fruits or coconut water are essential for keeping skin supple and reducing fine lines.
5. Lots of Sunscreen
Sunscreen matters, a lot! At least Spf 30 or more. Some even argue that nothing else you do for your skin matters if you're not protecting it from the sun! I opt for a mineral sunscreen because it doesn't need to be reapplied as much as chemical sunscreen.
6. Rosehip Oil
A staple in every party of my beauty routine, I use this oil as a makeup remover, a mask, and more!
7. Spin brush for Washing Face
Nothing leaves me skin feeling cleaner than the gentle exfoliation I get from using a spin brush alongside my face wash. I can never go back to just using my hands after this.
8. Tea over Coffee
This is more of a personal preference, but I swear it always made a difference. Switching out my coffee for tea helps reduce the dullness in my skin and bring out its inner glow.
9. Dermaplaning
If you're naturally hairier like I am, you skin will benefit from dermaplaning. Not only does it remove unwanted peach fuzz, but the shaving will also help exfoliate your face. I do this about once a month,
10. Retinol
As you start to experience those first signs of aging skin, you need this in your skincare cabinet. Retinol speeds up the cell turnover help bringing new skin to the surface.
11. Vitamin C
Both as a serum and as a supplement, this vitamin does wonders for stimulating collagen production and reducing the appearance of wrinkles while also reversing sun damage.
